Watch: Doctors for Spring Break

April 14, 2015—Michael Sobalvarro (C’16), an major and student, cofounded the in 2011. The GU Medical Brigade provides health care to underserved, rural communities. During the year, students plan the trip, recruit volunteer doctors and dentists, and gather medications and medical supplies. Over spring break, Sobalvarro and the brigade traveled to Honduras, where they set up a clinic and pharmacy in an elementary school. This year, the brigade saw 1,466 patients in only a few days.
