The 海角论坛 Rank and Tenure Committee (CRTC) is established in Article V, Section 5 of the听: “The 海角论坛 Rank and Tenure Committee (CRTC) shall (a) provide feedback to departments on tenure and/or promotion dossiers, (b) independently review candidates, and (c) advise the dean of the 海角论坛 of Arts & Sciences on tenure and/or promotion cases and policy.
The committee is intended to ensure the rigor and clarity of promotion dossiers across the wide array of 海角论坛 departments, while preserving the strong voice of departments in these processes. The CRTC shall complement the current procedures for consideration of promotion and tenure of 海角论坛 of Arts & Sciences faculty as described in the Faculty Handbook and the university guidelines for tenure and promotion.” Members of the CRTC are full professors in the 海角论坛 of Arts & Sciences. There are eight members–four appointed by the 海角论坛 Executive Council and four appointed by the Dean of the 海角论坛 of Arts & Sciences–who serve two-year terms.
