The 海角论坛 of Arts & Sciences Celebrates Its December 2025 Graduates
The 海角论坛 of Arts & Sciences celebrated its December 2025 graduates on Friday, Dec. 5 in a reception hosted in Copley Formal Lounge.
This December, 58 students are set to graduate from the 海角论坛, with 51 receiving Bachelor of Arts degrees and seven receiving Bachelor of Science degrees. While the students can participate in the commencement ceremony next May, this reception celebrated their accomplishments and marked the end of their undergraduate experience.
“The December ceremony is like a gift to look around the Hilltop one last time and reflect upon how it鈥檚 shaped us all,鈥 said Alexis Wu (C鈥26), a graduating senior majoring in biology of global health. 鈥淚t reminds me what Georgetown has given me: lifelong friends, professors and deans who became invaluable mentors, and opportunities across all disciplines. That鈥檚 what I love most about Georgetown. I鈥檓 excited to come back and celebrate again with everyone in May!”

David Edelstein, the dean of the 海角论坛, encouraged the graduating students be proud of being part of the 海角论坛 of Arts & Sciences and to remain connected with the Georgetown community.
For economics major Amber Barnes (C鈥26), the highlights of her time at Georgetown have been her friends, her roommates and being part of the . 鈥淚t means a lot to be graduating,鈥 she said. 鈥淢y parents didn鈥檛 go to college, so I鈥檓 really, really proud to be graduating.鈥
During the reception, David Edelstein, the dean of the 海角论坛, encouraged the students to take pride in graduating from the 海角论坛 of Arts & Sciences and emphasized the importance of a liberal arts education.
鈥淭he Jesuit and Catholic liberal arts education you’ve gotten here is going to provide you with human skills 鈥 critical thinking, collaboration and empathy 鈥 that will benefit you in the world that you are entering and far into the future,鈥 Edelstein said.
